Paying for your care

How is social care funded?
If you request financial assistance from your local authority to pay for any help in the home, they will go through a means test with you to see whether you meet their criteria for funding.
If you have more than £23,250 in savings or capital you will have to pay the full cost of your care. The value of your home is not counted when working out charges for non-residential care. If you do not meet the criteria then you will need to self-fund for our services. Care provided by the NHS is free.
How do I pay ExemplaCare?
All invoices are raised in arrears and will be sent to you on the 21st of every month. Our terms are that invoices are paid within 5 days of receipt please; bank transfer is preferred however we accept cheques.
Direct payments
If you are eligible for social care funding from your local authority, you can opt to receive the funding direct and then pay for your own care. You will then be able to pay for ExemplaCare's service with this payment.
Our pricing
We believe our pricing offers exceptional value for money and that we are extremely competitive with other providers. We offer visits lasting 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes dependent on client needs. There is only a small increase for evenings, weekends and Bank Holidays, no hidden extra charges. We have a small  'per visit' surcharge of 40p which is paid directly to our carers.. All prices are exempt from VAT. We believe in rewarding our staff with consistent decent pay and conditions for carrying out this vital role.
